Jorge Pensi
                Jorge Pensi, born in Buenos Aires, studied architecture in his home town. In 1975 he left Argentina and acquired Spanish citizenship. In 1977 he settled in Barcelona and created the “Group Berenguer” together with designer Alberto Liévore and theorists Norberto Chaves and Oriol Pibernat.
In 1984 Jorge Pensi opened his own design studio in the gothic quarter in Barcelona. From that moment on Pensi began to collaborate with Spanish and international companies such as Amat, Akaba, B.Lux, Poggenpohl, Kusch+Co., Steelcase in the field of product design.
Throughout his long career Jorge Pensi has received many international awards. Some of his early designs, the “Toledo” aluminium chair in 1986, and the “Regina” lamp in 1987, have become true icons of contemporary Spanish design.
In the family atmosphere of his studio he works together with Diego Slemenson, Constanze Schutz and Roman Proubasta. Toni Casares is in charge of the management and also collaborates with his wife Carme Casares on graphic design projects.
Jorge Pensi places great emphasis on close and friendly contact with his clients. He believes that the key to his success lies in this close collaboration on projects.
